Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Sales Manager - MICE to join its Sales & Commerce team. You will drive banqueting, conferences and meetings opportunities in the defined market and report to the Director of Commercial Strategy.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will manage key accounts, conduct site inspections and leverage the hotel's premium brand to win major events while building strong relationships with corporate and travel accounts.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management.
• Minimum 5 years of hotel experience.
• Experience in relevant market segment is essential.
• Able to liaise effectively with corporate, conference and travel accounts.
• Strong business communication and selling skills.

Responsibilities

• Solicits and develops corporate, regional and international conference accounts.
• Keeps a record of top accounts and establishes business development plans.
• Actively solicits new potential accounts within assigned areas.
• Understands key accounts buying decisions and competitive rate information for strategy planning.
• Assures MOKUL is a preferred hotel for major conferences in Kuala Lumpur.
• Conducts site inspections for potential clients.
• Operates e-yield management systems and generates reports on request.
• Uses all available sales tools.
• Maintains client and event files to required standards.
