Job summary

Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast is seeking a Sales Manager to take full responsibility for all aspects of the sales operations. You will work closely with the Director of Commercial to plan and execute cooperative sales efforts with Leisure and MICE accounts for Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast.

The role emphasizes maximizing revenue, developing new Leisure and MICE accounts, managing key accounts, and coordinating promotions and site inspections to drive sales across Mandarin Oriental

Qualifications

• Experience in luxury hospitality sales and account management is preferred.
• Ability to develop and execute sales plans for Leisure and MICE segments.
• Strong collaboration with commercial and marketing leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial planning and execution of cooperative sales with Leisure and MICE accounts for Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast.
• Contribute to yearly commercial and marketing plans with Directors of Commercial and Marketing.
• Maximise revenue and share from Leisure and MICE, and cross-sell to MO properties.
• Develop new Leisure and MICE accounts to meet targets, including corporate groups and partnerships.
• Ensure incremental business from existing accounts and maximize brochure coverage.
• Initiate tactical promotions and campaigns to drive sales.
• Manage SLAs with key accounts and track performance against targets.
• Lead product knowledge updates for all touchpoints including reservations staff.
• Manage retail travel agencies and key wholesalers/MICE accounts.
• Organise site inspections, familiarisation trips, conference calls, and events.
