Job summary

Sunray Woodcraft Construction Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced MEP Manager based in Johor Bahru to lead MEP coordination for new build projects. The role requires overseeing submission preparations, coordinating services, and liaising with consultants, subcontractors, and authorities.

The ideal candidate has extensive MEP management experience in construction, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage complex schedules with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical) or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction industry.
• At least 10 years of related field experience for Manager position.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of risk assessment methods.
• Disciplined, strong work ethic, and adaptable under challenges and pressure.
• Strong organizational, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Willing to travel or working outstation will be added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for M&E submissions for consultant approval (shop drawings, material catalogues, sample board, PQP, method statements).
• Prepare combined services drawing (CSD) for M&E consultant approval.
• Produce reflected ceiling plan (RCP) in accordance with approved M&E coordination for subcontractors to install ceiling fittings items.
• Coordinate M&E services in accordance with approved shop drawings (ACMV, Fire Protection, Cold and Hot water, Sanitary, Lift and Elevator, ELV, CCTV, BMS & BCS, Electrical, Data/PA, Card Access) and other related systems.
• Liaise with subcontractors (NSC), M&E consultants and client to clarify drawings, system discrepancy, and requirement specifications to be complied onsite.
• Conduct site walk and coordination meetings with M&E subcontractors to resolve issues.
• Monitor site progress against the master work programme and follow up with M&E trades to address delays.
• Verify and witness M&E progress claims for each related trade based on work done onsite.
• Conduct QA/QC inspection, testing & commissioning, and issue defect list to subcontractor for final touch up work before handover and CPC issuance.
• Liaise with authorities (TNB, Syabas, IWK, JKKP, Telekom, Bomba) to ensure compliance and prepare documentation for submission and approval.

Required to have experience in new build block M&E.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare for M&E submission for consultant approval, such as shop drawing, material catalogue, sample board, project quality plan (PQP), work method statement etc.

Prepare combined services drawing (CSD) for M&E consultant approval

Produce reflected ceiling plan (RCP) in accordance with approved M&E coordination for subcontractors to install ceiling fittings items (lighting, speaker, CCTV, smoke detector, sprinkler, ACMV grilles, cassette units, service manhole etc.)

Coordinate M&E services in accordance with approved shop drawings (ACMV, Fire Protection, Cold and Hot water, Sanitary, Lift and Elevator, LPG, BMS & BCS, Electrical, CCTV, PA System, Data/POS, Telephone, Card Access (ELV), and other related systems)

Liaise with subcontractors (NSC), M&E consultant and client to clarify drawings, system discrepancy, and requirement specifications to be complied onsite.

Conduct site walk & coordination meeting with M&E subcontractors to resolve issues.

Monitor site progress against the master work programme and follow up with M&E trades to address any delays affecting overall progres

Verify and witness M&E progress claim for each related trade based on work done onsite.

Conduct QA/QC inspection, testing & commissioning, and issue defect list to subcontractor for final touch up work before handover and issuance of CPC

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical) or equivalent.

2 - 5 years of relevant working experience in Construction industry

At least 10 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for Manager position.

Knowledge of using MS Office Suite such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.

Knowledge of risk assessment methods

Disciplined, strong work ethic, and adaptable under challenges and pressure

Strong organizational skill, leadership and problem solving skills
