Job summary

JAC Recruitment International in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a skilled MEP Cost Engineer / M&E QS to support commercial and cost management for construction projects. You will handle cost estimation, budget control, progress claims, and final accounts, collaborating with project teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in M&E costing and contract administration within construction, with strong Excel skills and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in M&E, Building Services or QS or related discipline.
• 3–5 years in M&E costing, commercial, contract administration, or cost engineering in construction.

Responsibilities

• Review quantity take-offs and costing calculations for tender submissions and cost analysis.
• Monitor project site budgets and cost control measures.
• Review Monthly Budget Summary Reports and ensure cost control.
• Verify subcontractors' progress claims and payment applications.
• Review progress claims submitted to clients/customers.
• Manage and review variation orders and final accounts with clients/subcontractors.
