Job summary

PMG HEALTHCARE SDN. BHD. in Kuching, Sarawak is seeking a Medical Officer to join our primary care team.

This full-time role focuses on delivering comprehensive clinical services to our community, with responsibilities spanning consultations, diagnosis, treatment, and patient care coordination. You will work within a supportive clinical environment, using EMR systems, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure high standards of care.

Qualifications

• A medical degree (MBBS or equivalent qualification) recognised by the Malaysian Medical Council
• Valid registration and licence to practise medicine in Malaysia
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification clinical experience in a general practice or primary care setting
• Strong clinical knowledge and competence in managing a broad range of medical conditions commonly seen in primary care
• Excellent consultation and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse patient populations
• Proficiency in Malay, English and Mandarin language. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Competence in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and clinical information technology
• A commitment to continued professional development and evidence-based practice
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple patients efficiently whilst maintaining high standards of care
• Professional attitude with a focus on patient safety, quality of care, and collaborative teamwork

Responsibilities

• Conducting patient consultations, taking comprehensive medical histories, and performing thorough clinical examinations
• Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions in line with current clinical guidelines and best practices
• Prescribing appropriate medications and treatments, whilst maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
• Managing chronic disease patients through ongoing monitoring, reviews, and preventative care strategies
• Referring patients to specialist services when clinically indicated and liaising with secondary care providers
• Providing health education and counselling to patients regarding prevention, lifestyle modifications, and disease management
• Participating in health screening programmes and immunisation services as required
• Maintaining professional standards, ensuring confidentiality, and adhering to all relevant healthcare regulations and protocols
• Contributing to the development and improvement of clinical services and protocols within the practice

About the role

We are seeking a Medical Officer to join our healthcare team at our Kuching, Sarawak facility. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive primary care services to our patient population. What you'll be doing
