Job summary

Klinik Dr Jasmine in Setia Tropika, Johor, invites a female Medical Officer to join our women's health clinic team. The role covers comprehensive medical assessments, routine screenings and patient education within a busy primary care setting.

We value strong clinical knowledge in general medicine, excellent communication, and the ability to work with Mandarin-speaking customers. Prior primary care experience is preferred; Bahasa Malaysia and English proficiency is beneficial.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent recognised by MMC.
• Valid MMC registration with APC validity.
• House officer training or equivalent postgraduate experience.
• Strong knowledge in general medicine and primary care management.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical assessments and diagnoses for acute and chronic conditions.
• Perform routine health screenings and preventive care activities.
• Manage patient consultations with documentation and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate medical records in line with regulations.
• Advise patients on medications, lifestyle changes and disease management.

About the role

We are seeking a female Medical Officer to join our women's health clinic team at Setia Tropika, Johor.

Working hours: 40-45 hours/week

Key responsibilities

Providing comprehensive medical assessments and diagnoses to patients presenting with acute and chronic conditions.

Conducting routine health screenings, preventive health assessments and health promotion activities.

Managing patient consultations in an efficient and professional manner, ensuring detailed documentation and follow-up care.

Maintaining comprehensive and accurate medical records in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Providing advice and education to patients regarding medications, lifestyle modifications and disease management.

What we're looking for

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent medical qualification recognised by the Malaysian Medical Council.

Valid registration with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) and an active Annual Practising Certificate (APC).

Completion of house officer training or equivalent postgraduate medical experience, preferably in general practice or primary care settings.

Strong clinical knowledge and competence in general medicine and primary care management.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families and healthcare colleagues.

Previous experience working in primary care, general practice or community healthcare settings is preferred

Preferably proficient in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers.

Basic knowledge in antenatal scans.
