Job summary

Tiong Nam Logistics Solutions Sdn Bhd in Pulau Pinang invites a Mechatronics Engineer to join our automation team. You will design, develop, and maintain advanced mechatronic systems for our logistics operations, including sensors, actuators, and control systems.

We require a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of hands-on experience, plus PLC/HMI/SCADA proficiency and skills in AutoCAD/SolidWorks/LabVIEW. Travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of design, development, and maintenance of mechatronic systems.
• Proficient in PLC, HMI and SCADA programming and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; good communication and teamwork.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks and LabVIEW; valid driver’s license; ability to travel to client sites.

About the role We are seeking an experienced Mechatronics Engineer to join our team in Pulau Pinang. As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of advanced industrial automation and control systems. What you’ll be doing

Designing, developing, and integrating complex mechatronic systems, including sensors, actuators, and control systems

Conducting in-depth analysis and troubleshooting of existing systems to identify and resolve issues

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement customised solutions for our clients

Performing regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure the optimal performance of our equipment

Documenting technical specifications, procedures, and best practices to maintain knowledge within the organisation

Providing technical support and training to our customers and internal teams

What we’re looking for

A Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Minimum 2 years of experience in the design, development, and maintenance of Mechatronic systems

Proficient in programming languages such as PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively

Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, and LabVIEW

A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to client sites when necessary
