Job summary

Tiong Nam Logistics Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking an IT support specialist to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, operating systems, software, and IT peripherals across the organization. You will provide first-line technical support to end users for hardware, software, OS, network, and application issues, and assist in resolving problems with efficient workarounds.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, and networking.
• Basic understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) concepts and processes.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to follow technical instructions and work effectively with superiors, field engineers, vendors, and end users.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, software applications, and IT peripherals.
• Provide first-level technical support to end users for hardware, software, operating system, network, and application-related issues.
• Assist end users in troubleshooting technical problems, identifying root causes, and providing appropriate solutions or workarounds.
• Log, update, monitor, and close IT incidents and service requests in accordance with ITSM processes and procedures.
• Ensure IT incidents and service requests are properly documented and resolved within the agreed service level.
• Assist with IT infrastructure implementation, installation, upgrading, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
• Escalate complex or unresolved technical issues to the superior, field engineer, or relevant vendor when necessary.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and ensure IT equipment and systems are functioning properly.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date IT asset records, including asset assignment, location, status, serial numbers, and user information.
• Maintain proper documentation of system configurations, IT equipment, troubleshooting activities, incidents, and service records.
• Perform any other ad-hoc IT-related tasks and duties as assigned by the superior from time to time.
