Job summary

Genetec Technology Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a Service Engineer focused on site installation, commissioning and ongoing support for automated equipment systems. You will configure equipment, respond to customer queries and document service activity to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires strong communication, a proactive mindset and willingness to travel extensively, including cross-border projects.

Qualifications

• Possess a degree in Mechatronic/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude and drive to succeed as part of a high functioning team.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, managing multiple priorities, both independently and with a team.
• Willingness to travel extensively and oversee projects in international or cross-border settings.

Responsibilities

• Site installation & commissioning – Site install equipment, configure systems, and ensure they operate according to specifications
• Customer support – Respond to customer complaints, provide technical advice, and explain equipment operation
• Documentation – Prepare service reports, maintenance records, inspection reports, and lists of replaced parts
• Technical improvement – Identify recurring failures and recommend improvements to equipment, procedures, or maintenance schedules
• Training – Train customers or operators on proper equipment use, maintenance, and safety procedures

Key responsibilities

Site installation & commissioning – Site install equipment, configure systems, and ensure they operate according to specifications
