Job summary

Palcon Engineering & Development Sdn Bhd is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support Fire Protection and General Engineering Projects across Malaysia, primarily based at the Tanjung Malim site. The role requires Mandarin-speaking ability to coordinate with China-based partners and involves travel to various project locations.

The candidate should hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, read technical drawings, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork.

• Valid driving licence.
• Experience in engineering/construction/project roles is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Fire Protection Systems is an advantage.

MECHANICAL ENGINEER – PROJECTS & ENGINEERING

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our project team and support the execution of Fire Protection System Projects and General Engineering Projects. The position will be mainly based at our Tanjung Malim, Perak project site. Depending on projects awarded to the Company, you may also be required to work at other locations across Malaysia. This position will also involve coordination with our China-based partnering companies, therefore Mandarin-speaking ability is required.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate assigned Fire Protection and General Engineering Projects
• Supervise and monitor daily site activities and engineering works
• Review engineering drawings, specifications and project requirements
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers
• Communicate and coordinate with China-based project partners on project and technical matters
• Monitor project progress, manpower, materials and work schedules
• Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, quality and safety requirements
• Identify site and technical issues and assist in providing practical solutions
• Provide technical support and guidance to site personnel and subcontractors
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, inspection and project handover

About you
