Saffire Sdn. Bhd. is a fire protection equipment supplier and engineering solutions provider representing internationally recognised brands. We support projects in data centres, semiconductor plants, petrochemical facilities, industrial plants and commercial developments. We are looking for an Application Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer who enjoys combining engineering, product application, proposal preparation and customer interaction. You will work closely with our Sales Team, customers, consultants and overseas manufacturers to develop technically compliant and commercially competitive fire protection solutions.
- Review customer enquiries, tender documents, specifications and engineering drawings.
- Select suitable fire protection equipment and develop technical solutions based on project requirements.
- Prepare technical proposals, BOQs, costing, quotations and compliance statements.
- Prepare technical submissions, datasheets and product documentation.
- Ensure proposed equipment and systems comply with project specifications and relevant fire protection standards.
- Provide technical and application support to the Sales Team during quotation, tendering and customer discussions.
- Attend customer meetings, technical presentations and product demonstrations when required.
- Liaise with customers, consultants, contractors and overseas manufacturers on technical matters.
- Provide product training and technical support to customers.
- Support site testing, commissioning and troubleshooting when required.
- Assist Project and Service Engineers with product selection and technical queries.

- Fire protection valves, equipment and related engineered products
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Approximately 2-3 years of working experience in Application Engineering, Technical Sales, Proposal/Tender Engineering, Fire Protection, M&E Building Services or related engineering industries.
- Direct fire protection experience is an advantage
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Good command of English.
- Willing to attend project sites occasionally for testing, commissioning and technical support.
- Work with internationally recognised fire protection brands.
- Gain exposure to major data centre, semiconductor, petrochemical, industrial and commercial projects.
- Receive technical training from experienced engineers and international manufacturers.
- Develop specialist expertise in engineered fire protection systems.
- Work directly with customers, consultants and contractors.
