Job summary

Carleton ES in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the Engineering Department in design, calculations, documentation, and site activities. You will work closely with the engineering team to deliver reliable solutions while upholding quality, safety, and client specifications.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and 2–3 years of related experience in power plants, EPC, or consultancy. AutoCAD experience is a plus and willingness to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in power plants, EPC, or engineering consultancy.
• Experience with AutoCAD is advantageous.
• Knowledge of piping systems, pressure parts, or boiler systems is advantageous.
• Familiarity with ASME codes and standards is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to travel to project sites when required.
• Malaysian candidates only.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings.
• Assist in engineering list, material take-offs, and Bill of Quantities (BQ).
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and project documentation.
• Coordinate engineering activities with other disciplines.
• Conduct boiler and BOP inspection.
• Support project execution, troubleshooting, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
