Job summary

Colform Sdn Bhd is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, testing and upkeep of production machinery. The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.

Proficiency in Excel and Word, and strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. The candidate should be proactive and able to work both independently and with others.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, production machinery, installation or commissioning is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, commissioning, testing, repair and maintenance of machinery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical malfunctions to minimise downtime.
• Establish preventive maintenance procedures and service schedules.
• Conduct regular inspection, testing and performance monitoring.
• Ensure operating and safety procedures comply with standards.
• Maintain technical documentation and equipment records.
• Coordinate with departments, contractors and suppliers on improvements.
• Perform other engineering duties related to production equipment.

Job description

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.

Relevant experience in manufacturing, production machinery, equipment installation or commissioning will be an added advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.

Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Self-motivated, responsible and proactive, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Support the installation, commissioning, testing, repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure proper operation.

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical malfunctions and equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime.

Establish and maintain preventive maintenance procedures and service schedules to ensure machinery and equipment remain in good operating condition.

Conduct regular inspection, testing and performance monitoring of machinery and equipment to identify defects and potential failures.

Ensure machinery operating and safety procedures comply with company requirements, technical specifications and applicable safety standards.

Maintain technical documentation and equipment records.

Coordinate with relevant departments, contractors and suppliers on corrective actions, equipment improvements and production efficiency initiatives.

Perform other engineering duties related to production equipment and manufacturing operations as assigned by management.
