Job summary

Colform Sdn Bhd seeks an Electrical Engineer to plan and monitor electrical maintenance for plant equipment and facilities. The role involves troubleshooting, root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to improve reliability.

You will support installation, testing, commissioning, and improvements of electrical systems, monitor energy usage and ensure safety compliance across operations. Strong teamwork and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, electrical systems, plant engineering, production machinery or maintenance is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
• Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills with high accuracy.
• Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor electrical maintenance for plant machinery, equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support installation, testing, commissioning, modifications, integration and improvement of electrical systems.
• Monitor energy consumption and electrical performance to identify improvements and cost reductions.
• Ensure electrical works comply with safety requirements and applicable standards.
• Collaborate with contractors, suppliers and internal teams on electrical installation and maintenance.
• Maintain records of maintenance, breakdowns and engineering works.
• Perform other electrical engineering duties related to manufacturing and production operations.

Job description

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.

Relevant experience in manufacturing, electrical systems, plant engineering, production machinery, equipment installation or maintenance will be an added advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.

Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Self-motivated, responsible and proactive, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot electrical problems, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Support the installation, testing, commissioning, modications, integration and improvement of electrical systems for machinery and plant facilities.

Monitor energy consumption and electrical performance and identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.

Ensure electrical works comply with safety requirements, applicable standards and regulations.

Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, service providers and internal teams on electrical installation, maintenance and engineering works.

Maintain proper records of maintenance, breakdowns, inspections, electrical systems and engineering works.

Perform other electrical engineering duties related to manufacturing and production operations as assigned by management.
