Job summary

Ecotreat Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Malaysia. The role involves design, selection, installation, inspection, commissioning and maintenance of mechanical systems for engineering projects.

You will assist in design, review drawings, select equipment, coordinate with stakeholders, and supervise site installations while ensuring compliance with standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; candidates with relevant experience have an added advantage.
• Able to read and understand mechanical drawings, specifications, and datasheets.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or other engineering software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated and responsible Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, selection, installation, inspection, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment for engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, planning, and implementation of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, datasheets, and technical documents.
• Select and recommend suitable mechanical equipment, machinery, pumps, motors, and related components.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project teams on technical matters.
• Supervise and monitor mechanical installation works at project sites.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure mechanical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Assist with equipment testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance checks.
• Prepare technical reports, equipment schedules, method statements, and project documentation.
• Assist in preparing technical quotations, equipment specifications, material lists, and cost estimates.
• Monitor project progress, materials, workmanship, and installation activities.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during project execution.
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
• Provide technical support to customers and project teams when required.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management.
• Willing to travel and work at project sites when required.
• Possess a valid driving licence.
