Job summary

PV Metal Engineering Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Mechanical Engineer with at least 1 year in manufacturing. You will review drawings, support DFM discussions, and prepare PPAP/APQP documentation for production readiness.

You will work with internal teams to prepare machines, tooling, and facilities, and develop testing plans to ensure quality. Expect annual bonus and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience in the manufacturing industry or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical troubleshooting, machining, and production activities.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical manufacturing and processing methods.
• Able to use engineering software such as AutoCAD/Autodesk, CAD, and SolidWorks.
• Good problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and think analytically.
• Good mathematical skills, attentive to details, and responsive to issues.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand project requirements, specifications, drawings, and technical documents.
• Participate in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) discussions and support the implementation of projects and new products.
• Prepare and manage PPAP, APQP, and other required project documentation according to the project schedule.
• Work closely with internal teams to prepare the machines, equipment, tools, and facilities required for production.
• Prepare testing plans and procedures to ensure products meet the required quality standards.
• Monitor project progress and provide timely updates and feedback.
• Communicate and work with vendors to resolve equipment breakdowns, modifications, and rectification issues.
• Verify and ensure that the implemented solutions are effective and meet the required requirements.
• Communicate professionally with customers at different levels and provide necessary technical support.
• Yearly performance bonus based on individual performance.
