Job description

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for driving the design, development, and introduction of new products to market. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and manufacturing, to ensure product success from concept through to production. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background with experience in mechanical design.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for new products.
• Conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to ensure product requirements are met.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, including specifications, drawings, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
• Perform product testing, validation, and troubleshooting to meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize product design for manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
• Provide technical support during the transition of products from development to production.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality and design processes.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• C++ & Arduino Knowledge is required.
• 2D & 3D Drawing Skill is required.
• Strong knowledge of product development cycles, from concept through to production.
• Experience in prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical systems and components.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas.
