Jora Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer (Infrastructure Works) to plan, supervise and coordinate installation of street lighting systems, cables, and related works on site in Selangor and Kelantan.
The role requires 3+ years' experience in infrastructure projects, reading drawings, coordinating with authorities, and ensuring safety, with strong Bahasa Malaysia and English communication.

Plan, supervise and coordinate installation of street lighting systems including poles, luminaires, cabling, feeder pillars, and earthing systems.
Monitor testing & commissioning such as insulation resistance, earth resistance, and functional testing in accordance with project specifications and authority requirements.
Liaise with local authorities (e.g., TNB, local council) for inspection and handover of completed lighting works.
Coordinate relocation of existing fibre optic, telecommunication, and power cables within project Right-of-Way.
Work closely with utility providers (TNB, TM, fibre operators) to ensure relocation works comply with approved method statements and safety requirements.
Prepare work schedules and traffic management coordination for cable diversion activities.
Supervise subcontractors and ensure works are carried out according to drawings, specifications, and approved Method of Statement (MOS).
Coordinate with Civil team to avoid clashes between M&E and structural works.
Attend site meetings with consultants, clients, and utility agencies.
Prepare and review shop drawings, as-built drawings, and material submissions.
Ensure compliance with project quality plan, ITP, and safety procedures.
Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and assist in progress claims.
Ensure all M&E works comply with OSHA, TNB, local authority and project safety requirements.
Conduct site inspections and rectify defects during construction and DLP period.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
At least 3 years of experience in infrastructure or road projects.
Hands-on experience in installation of street lighting systems, relocation/ diversion of fibre optic and power cables.
Able to read electrical drawings and single line diagrams.
Familiar with testing & commissioning procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Willing to work on site and possess own transport.
