Job summary

Techware Group is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Assembly Technician for a permanent onsite role in Melaka. The package includes basic salary plus OT and allowances, commensurate with experience.

The technician will work with Team Leads, engineers and cross-functional teams to follow instructions, verify designs, and ensure timely delivery of work packages and milestones. Training will be provided to bridge competency gaps and support continual improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing/precision engineering.
• Experience in electrical assembly.
• Able to understand basic electrical drawings, schematic & GD&T.
• Demonstrate Leadership capabilities and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Involvement in Continual Improvement initiatives (e.g. 5S, Lean, Kaizen).

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions from Team Lead, supervisor and engineer.
• To ensure that design verifications and design validations are carried out to confirm the design with the assistance of relevant system/subsystem engineers.
• Ensure timely completion of team’s deliverables for each work package, Project Milestones and tender proposals, within budget using both technical engineering and administrative skills.
• Architect solutions together with specialist for each project.
• Facilitate to resolve escalated technical issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution.
• Technical and program-level support and guidance to the team, including execution strategies, will be provided.
• Necessary technical skills required in upcoming projects and opportunities will be provided. We will provide structured training and ensure team is sufficiently trained in time to breach this competency gap.
