Job summary

techware Group seeks an Operations Manager to oversee the machine assembly process in a semiconductor manufacturing setting in Melaka. You will manage production, warehouse logistics, and uphold strict quality control standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related fields.
• An advanced degree or relevant certifications would be advantageous.
• Proven experience of 5 years in semiconductor manufacturing or similar high-tech industries, with a focus on machine fabrication and production management.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational excellence.
• In-depth knowledge of semiconductor assembly processes, equipment, and quality control methodologies.
• Proficiency in implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Process optimization emphasizes the use of advanced software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the machine production team, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Develop and implement efficient production processes to optimize output, minimize downtime, and reduce costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to streamline assembly procedures and improve product efficiency.
• Optimize resource allocation, including manpower, machinery, and materials, to meet delivery targets date effectively.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with safety regulations.
• Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory control, material handling, and storage procedures.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure the timely availability of materials and components required for the assembly.
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies, damages, and losses, while maximizing inventory turnover.
• Establish and enforce stringent quality control measures throughout the assembly process to meet industry standards and customer requirements.
• Conduct regular quality audits, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, checklists, and reports with the quality team.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the production and warehouse teams.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training needs, and organize relevant training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
• Implement safety measures and promote a culture of safety within the workplace environment.
• Manage disciplinary procedures in alignment with company guidelines and legal requirements.
• Investigate and address instances of policy violations, misconduct, or conflicts within the workplace.
