ISTIQ Noise Control Sdn Bhd is seeking a Mechanical Draughtsman (DRAFTER) in Shah Alam. You will use CAD tools to produce accurate drawings for proposals, approvals and fabrication while collaborating with engineers and production teams to capture project details.

The role requires 3–5 years of mechanical drafting experience, a Diploma or degree in a related field, and a valid Malaysian driving license. Travel to sites may be required as part of project duties.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or SketchUp.
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical drafting or a related field.
• Valid Malaysian driving license (B2, D).

Responsibilities

• Create accurate drawings using CAD software for proposals, approvals, and fabrication.
• Collaborate with engineers, production, and project teams on project needs.
• Update designs based on feedback to meet standards.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry rules and client requirements.
• Visit sites to collect information and verify designs.
• Maintain records of all project versions and changes.
• Provide regular progress reports to supervisor.
• Execute additional tasks as assigned.

MECHANICAL DRAUGHTSMAN (DRAFTER)

(Seksyen U5, Shah Alam)

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Use computer-aided design (CAD) software (like AutoCAD, Inventor, and SketchUp) to create accurate proposal, approval, and fabrication drawings.
2. Collaborate with engineers, production, and project teams to understand project needs and technical details.
3. Make design changes and updates based on engineers' feedback, ensuring accuracy and meeting project standards.
4. Ensure all drawings and documents follow industry rules, regulations, and client requirements.
5. Visit sites or client locations to collect information, check designs, and confirm drawings meet real-world project needs.
6. Keep updated records of all projects, including older versions and changes, for easy reference.
7. Provide regular work reports and updates to your supervisor.
8. Carry out any other tasks assigned by your supervisor as needed.

Requirement

1. Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
2. Experience using CAD software ; AutoCAD, Inventor, or SketchUp.
3. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical drafting or a related field.
4. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
6. Good communication and a positive approach to work.
7. Responsible, dedicated, independent, mature, willing to learn and travel.
8. Have a valid Malaysian driving license (B2,D).
