Job summary

JF Technology in Kota Damansara, Selangor, Malaysia is recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a team delivering precision components and test solutions for the semiconductor industry. You will contribute from concept to execution, collaborating with experienced engineers on cutting‑edge solutions.

The candidate will design projects per customer specs, develop drawings and BOMs, provide technical support, and participate in new development and FOK initiatives, with opportunities to work

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
Minimum 2 years' mechanical design experience.
Experience in semiconductor testing industry is an added advantage.
Strong technical report or paper writing skills.
Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Ansys.
Good written & verbal communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

Develop and design projects as per customer specifications and requirements.
Perform design concept, detail drawings, assembly drawings and BOM.
Provide technical back-up to Design Engineers and engineering HOD.
Complete design projects on time with urgency to meet customer and delivery expectations.
Support operations and sales on technical matters if required.
Responsible for new development projects and First of Kind (FOK) developments.
Develop standard design library or drawing templates.
Work with manufacturing for continuous improvement in design and processes.
Support the design team on tight schedules by extra working hours.
Responsible for product testing, validation, DOE, SOPs, WI, and report writing.
Assemble the design prototype and provide training to relevant parties.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and design projects as per customer specifications and requirements.
Perform design concept, detail drawings, assembly drawings and Built of Material (BOM).
Provide technical back-up to Design Engineers and engineering HOD.
Complete design projects on time manner with sense of urgency to meet customer and delivery expectation.
Support operations and sales department on technical matters if required.
Responsible in new development projects and First of Kind (FOK) developments.
Responsible in develop standard design library or drawing templates.
Work closely with manufacturing team for continuous improvement in design and processes.
Support the design team on tight schedules by extra working hours.
Responsible on product testing, validation, Design of Experiments (DOE), Standard Operation Procedure (SOP), Work Instruction (WI), report writing and etc.
Responsible to assemble the design prototype and provide training to relevant parties involved.
Provide technical support at customer’s premise as when required.
Assist in other engineering related documentation/administration.
