Symphony Automation in Melaka is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of precision mechanisms and automated equipment for semiconductor manufacturing and testing. The role emphasizes SolidWorks-based design from concept through prototyping to production release.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design within industrial automation or equipment manufacturing, with strong GD&T and BOM management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on mechanical design experience in automation or semiconductor equipment manufacturing.
• SolidWorks used for 3D modeling and 2D drafting; strong GD&T fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and detail precision mechanical parts, assemblies, and automation modules using SolidWorks.
• Develop components for semiconductor equipment such as test handlers, SLT setups, and ATE integration.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable with proper GD&T and maintain BOMs and CAD vaults.
• Prototype, test, and troubleshoot with assembly and production teams during build and integration.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and systems engineers to ensure cohesive machine architecture.
