Job summary

Exyte in Penang seeks a Mechanical Engineer to perform design and supervision for industrial and semiconductor projects, developing engineering solutions and coordinating with multi-discipline teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 3–8 years of relevant experience, with strong AutoCAD skills; Revit/BIM experience is an advantage. On-site work with project execution responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3–8 years of relevant mechanical design/engineering experience.
• Experience in semiconductor/industrial/high-tech facility projects preferred.
• Strong experience in design-and-build environments.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit and BIM experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical engineering design for industrial and semiconductor projects.
• Prepare drawings, layouts, specifications, calculations, and technical documents.
• Coordinate mechanical design with architectural, structural, electrical, process and other disciplines.
• Support design-and-build projects from design development through construction and commissioning.
• Review project requirements and ensure compliance with standards.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams on technical matters.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and proposals.
• Troubleshoot design and site issues and propose practical solutions.
• Monitor mechanical works to ensure compliance with designs and quality standards.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Assist with planning, cost control, submissions and project documentation.
• Ensure all activities comply with Malaysian standards, codes, safety requirements, and project specs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 3–8 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, engineering, construction, or project execution.
• Experience in semiconductor, industrial, manufacturing, cleanroom, or high-tech facility projects is highly preferred.
• Strong experience in project design and build / design-and-build environments.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Revit and BIM or other engineering design software will be an advantage for a - .......
