Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Malaysia is seeking engineers to join our team to design mechanical systems for next-generation semiconductor equipment.

You will own cross-functional challenges, drive system-level decisions, and ensure compliance and robustness throughout concept to production.

Strong systems thinking and English communication are essential; experience with vacuum tech and CREO/SAP is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 2–10 years relevant experience in mechanical systems.
  • Experience with vacuum technology, frame, cladding, cooling automation.
  • Finite element simulation and interpretation experience.
  • GD&T and tolerance stack-up in multi-interface systems knowledge.
  • Experience with 3D CAD and PLM systems.
  • CREO/Pro-E and SAP experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset and risk management.
  • Fluent English communication (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design mechanical system architectures and interfaces.
  • Lead FEM interpretation for complex structures across regions.
  • Develop robust tolerance concepts and GD&T strategies.
  • Conduct structured problem solving and risk assessments.
  • Drive design for manufacturing and cost optimization.
  • Manage technical documentation and configuration changes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers.
  • Manage new manufacturing suppliers from prototyping to series.
  • Integrate exhaust, vacuum, heating and temperature control components.
  • Create and review technical drawings and specs.
