Job summary

The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve material issues and maintain strict traceability. The candidate should have a diploma or degree in logistics/warehousing, at least 1 year of relevant experience, and familiarity with ERP/WMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor thresholds, analyze stock structure, and propose actions to prevent stockouts and improve turnover.
• Coordinate with departments to resolve material discrepancies and ensure traceability of documentation.
• Ensure compliance activities for bonded materials and assist with regulatory inventory audits.

This position will temporarily work in the Bukit Mertajam area of Penang, and will later relocate to the Gurun plant.

About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Materials Control Executive / Clerk to manage our bonded warehouse operations. This role is primarily responsible for material receipt, storage, inventory accounting, and monitoring. You will coordinate closely with cross-functional departments to resolve material anomalies, ensure seamless inventory flow, improve warehouse efficiency, and maintain strict compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end receipt, storage, physical inventory, and ledger accounting of materials within the bonded warehouse to ensure 100% stock accuracy.

Monitor inventory thresholds, analyze stock structures regularly, and propose actionable strategies to prevent stockouts and optimize inventory turnover.

Coordinate and communicate proactively with relevant departments to resolve any material-related discrepancies or issues.

Organize, archive, and key in system data for all material-related documentation to ensure strict traceability and data accuracy.

Support compliance management activities specific to bonded warehouse materials and complete required regulatory inventory audits.

About you

Possess at least a College Diploma / Degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Warehousing Management, or a related field.

Minimum 1 year of hands-on working experience in material management, warehouse management, or Production Planning & Control (PMC).

Sound familiarity with inbound/outbound warehouse processes, inventory management methodologies, and basic data analysis skills.

Proficient in office productivity software and enterprise warehouse management systems (ERP / WMS).

Meticulous, highly responsible, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Able to adapt well to a bonded warehouse working environment and comply with operational arrangements.

Prior experience working in bonded warehouses, cross-border e-commerce warehouses, or overseas warehousing material management is preferred.

Familiarity with local Malaysian logistics procedures, customs regulations, and local work environment is a distinct advantage.

Good command of communication skills in English, Malay, and Mandarin will be prioritized. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
