Job summary

Watlow in Malaysia is hiring a Warehouse Operator to process raw materials and coordinate deliveries to production areas. The role involves receiving shipments, verifying quantities, packing, weighing, and ensuring accurate paperwork while maintaining safe and efficient warehouse operations.

You will support continuous improvement, collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing teams, and follow standard work and Watlow practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Small to mid-size experience in materials handling or shipping.
• Good knowledge of shipping documentation and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming shipments for quality and quantity.
• Package, label, weigh, and document shipments for production.
• Plan and coordinate movement of materials to optimize cost and service.
• Deliver materials to production floor and track inventory accuracy.
• Operate warehouse equipment and participate in lean kaizen initiatives.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for processing raw materials and/or kit and delivery of parts to work areas or processing orders ready for shipment.

Skills, Abilities and Mastery (Responsibility Matrix):

Delivery:

• Receive and verify the quality and quantity of shipments of incoming materials.
• Build packaging, pack, check product quality, weigh, organize and verify paperwork of shipments.
• Monitor key materials performance metrics such as cycle count, inventory turns, and safety.
• Plan and coordinate physical movement of materials, parts, finished goods, and information to ensure optimization of cost and service level.
• Issues and delivers correct materials to production floor, keeps track of inventory, and ships and receives material to ensure proper flow.
• Loads and unloads material within a warehouse or storage facility.
• Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, or other handling equipment to move material to and from locations and transportation vehicles within the facility.
• Delivers continuous improvement through participation in lean kaizen events.
• Problem solves and implements controls for cycle count discrepancies

Business Partner:

• Collaboration with supply chain, manufacturing, trade compliance, customer service and logistics teams

Center of Expertise (COE).

• Demonstrates capabilities in material management, materials requirement planning (MRP), pull systems, flow, and the implementation of LEAN concepts.
• High attention to detail, follow up and attention to customer service.
• Demonstrates problem solving skills to improve cycle count accuracy and replenishment systems.

Education, Experience and Certification Requirements:

• Minimum diploma
• 3 years’ related experience
• Must well versed in shipping process - documentation, arrangement, inventory, packaging, custom
