Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a Material Controller to develop production plans and monitor order intake across workshops. You will analyze data, generate reports, and coordinate staff assignments to ensure timely deliveries in a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or higher and 1–2 years of automotive experience, with strong ERP/MES knowledge and inventory management skills. Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in any field.
• Experience as a Material Controller in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 1–2 years in the automotive industry.
• Familiar with production management and related knowledge.
• Proficient in ERP/MES systems.
• Positive attitude, able to work independently and in a team to meet deadlines.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and processes.
• Mandarin proficiency is an advantage for speaking with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and follow up on weekly and monthly plans for each workshop.
• Analyze order intake data.
• Prepare various analytical reports and feedback on statistics.
• Track personnel in each shop and assign as needed.
• Sort production schedules and line staffing to meet delivery targets and avoid backlog.
• Monitor completion rate of production line work orders.
• Handle material and production exceptions.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as required by supervisor.

Responsible for developing and following up the achievement of weekly and monthly plans for each workshop.

Responsible for the analysis of order intake.

Responsible for various analytical reports and feedback of statistical information.

Responsible for keeping track of personnel in each shop and applying for assignments as needed.

Sort out production schedules and line staffing requirements and make timely adjustments to ensure deliveries are met to avoid inventory backlogs of finished goods.

Follow up the completion rate of production line work orders.

Responsible for handling material and production exceptions.

Perform other ad-hoc duties that may be assigned by immediate superior from time to time as deemed necessary.

Requirements

• Must possess at least Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in any fields.
• Proven experience as a Material Controller in manufacturing environment.
• At least 1-2 Year(s) of working experience in automotive industry.
• Familiar with production management and other related professional knowledge.
• Proficient in system used in Production such as ERP/MES.
• Positive attitude, ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles, processes, and best practices
• Proficient in Mandarin will be an advantage as need to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
