We're Hiring: Material Controller (Mandarin Speaker)!

A major provider of prefabricated modular data center infrastructure founded in Shanghai, China.

Role Summary

Responsible for assisting the Material Control Supervisor in the execution and management of project materials, including material demand planning, procurement coordination, inventory management, and logistics tracking. Ensure timely, quality-assured, cost-effective, and efficient supply of project materials to support the smooth and successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Overall Material Planning

• Consolidate the overall material plans submitted by engineers from various project disciplines and assist in confirming material delivery milestones for different project phases
• Perform other tasks and assignments as delegated by management

2. Material Delivery Control

• Assist the Material Control Supervisor in following up on the progress of the Project Department, Procurement Department, Jinshan Factory, International Logistics Department, freight forwarders, and warehouse
• Timely collect, consolidate, and report end-to-end material information throughout the entire supply chain to ensure effective material tracking and control

3. Expediting of Urgent Materials & Client-Supplied Materials

• Assist in expediting and following up on the delivery of urgent materials to ensure timely availability
• Assist in collecting, reporting, and following up on issues related to client-supplied materials

4. Coordination with Warehouse Management

• Coordinate with the warehouse to promptly communicate material inventory issues to the Project Department and facilitate information sharing between the project team and warehouse
• Coordinate delivery locations with the warehouse to ensure proper arrangements and provide timely feedback to freight forwarders
• Participate in material return, transfer, disposal, and inventory counting activities
• Assist in the management of temporary on-site warehouses

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or above
• Engineering-related disciplines preferred; candidates with qualifications in Accounting & Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, or other relevant fields are also considered
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in project engineering, system integration, M&E, equipment, or material management is preferred
• Fluent in English and Mandarin.
• Experience in material management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficient in at least one ERP/system, such as ERP, U9, K3, or SAP.
• Familiar with BOM structures and MRP calculation logic.
