Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented graduate to join our quotation and costing team in the precision engineering field. You will review customer drawings, assess CNC processes, and prepare accurate quotations.

Fresh graduates are welcome. Proficiency in MS Excel and good communication are essential; English and Mandarin are a plus. Embrace learning, collaborate with sales, production, engineering and purchasing for accurate quotes.

Qualifications

• Certificates/ Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Precision Engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Experience in precision engineering, CNC machining or quotation/costing is an advantage.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Basic knowledge of machining processes and manufacturing materials.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Computer literate, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Detail-oriented, responsible and willing to learn.
• Able to communicate in English and Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review customer engineering drawings, specifications and requirements for quotation purposes.
• Understand machining processes such as CNC milling, CNC turning and conventional machining.
• Evaluate drawing requirements including material, dimensions, tolerances, surface finish and special requirements.
• Estimate machining processes, material requirements, tooling and other production costs.
• Prepare and submit quotation and costing to customers.
• Liaise with customers to clarify drawings, technical requirements and quotation details.
• Follow up on quotations and communicate with customers regarding pricing and project requirements.
• Support the sales and marketing team in developing new customer opportunities.
• Source and communicate with potential customers in the precision engineering industry.
• Coordinate with production, engineering and purchasing teams to ensure quotation accuracy.
• Maintain quotation records and customer information.
• Perform other engineering and marketing duties assigned by management.
