Job summary

Capital Dynamics Asset Management Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Marketing/Business Development Manager to drive growth by expanding local and regional investor interest in funds and advisory services.

You will craft strategic marketing plans, manage budgets, and lead initiatives across digital, PR and events to generate high-quality leads and strengthen client relations. Fluency in English is essential; Mandarin is a plus in our regional focus.

Qualifications

Marketing/Business Development Manager

The Marketing/Business Development Manager is responsible for growing the interest of local and regional investors in the funds and investment advisory services through strategic marketing initiatives. You will also play a critical role in developing effective marketing strategies to expand the corporate and institutional investor markets. Reporting directly to the CEO, your key responsibilities include:

• Developing and managing creative marketing strategies, plans and budget.
• Developing appropriate communication initiatives such as websites, PR, traditional and digital awareness, and effective lead generation campaigns.
• Planning and organising presentation forums, collateral development, events and sales and customer communications.
• Identifying opportunities and problem areas via external market conditions and recommending new market penetration, marketing campaigns or initiatives that will drive revenue growth.
• Recommending adjustments to plans and programs as appropriate based upon ongoing analysis of markets, segments or competition.
• Developing strategic marketing direction for the business in new market opportunities and developing successful business relationships with key investors.

Requirements:

• Have the entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of drive, creativity and passion to be part of an ambitious and growing business.
• Adopt a high level of commercial acumen and business understanding to expand the fund management and investment advisory businesses.
• Have a proven track record as a successful marketing/business manager.
• Extensive marketing/business development experience gained in the wealth management or financial services industries would be an added advantage but applicants from non-related industries are also encouraged to apply.
• Investment analysts looking for a change in career would find this role attractive.
• Having a double-major degree in Marketing with Finance or Accounting or Economics from a reputable university is required.
• The ability to communicate fluently in English is vital and fluency in Mandarin will be an advantage.
• Flexible team player with an ability to work in a matrix reporting environment.
• High level of passion and ability to constantly think “out of the box” and challenge the norm.
