Adecco, in partnership with a Malaysia-based industrial chemicals distributor, seeks a Business Development Manager to drive new markets, applications, and customer segments beyond the current portfolio. You will own new business development, open new accounts, and identify opportunities across Malaysia.

The role emphasizes building market presence, negotiating with customers, and delivering sustainable revenue growth in a commercially driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or business development within industrial chemicals or related sectors.
• Proven ability to open new markets and build a new portfolio.
• Comfortable working independently in the Malaysian industrial market.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new markets, applications, and opportunities across Malaysia.
• Build new customer relationships across industrial and manufacturing sectors.
• Develop opportunities in specialty chemicals, polymers, electronics materials, and coatings.
• Manage the full commercial cycle from market mapping to negotiation and account development.
• Develop go-to-market strategies for new products and principals.
• Maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and regional stakeholders.
• Provide market intelligence on demand, competition, and industry trends.
• Deliver revenue and margin growth while building a new-business pipeline.
