Job summary

Petron Malaysia is seeking a dynamic Marine Facilities Supervisor to oversee jetty and SBM operations at Port Dickson. You will monitor regulatory compliance, supervise mooring crews, and provide expert marine guidance during cargo transfers.

The role requires a Master’s Certificate (Home Trade) or significant MR vessel pilotage experience, and strong English communication. Based in Negeri Sembilan, this position offers challenging, impactful work in a port environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s Certificate (Home Trade) or have at least 3 years’ pilotage experience in a major seaport.
• Experience with MR vessels and SBM pilotage.
• Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with regulatory permits for jetty and SBM operations.
• Conduct pre-cargo transfer conferences and vessel/jetty checks.
• Vet nominated tankers for Safety Guidelines and port requirements.
• Supervise mooring crew and manage marine operations handling ~11 million barrels annually.
• Provide expert marine advice to Petron Refinery during cargo transfers.
• Act as AMFSO and deputy to Port Facility Security Officer for ISPS.
• Support jetty technicians and refinery control room staff with marine guidance.
• Participate in oil spill drills, response and incident investigations.
• Maintain Marine Facility Security Plan and conduct internal audits.
• Weekly jetty condition and firefighting system inspections; monthly safety reports.
• Enforce SSHE procedures in port area.
