Job summary

Petron Malaysia is seeking a Marine Operations professional to supervise jetty and SBM activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide expert marine guidance at the Port Dickson Refinery. The role demands leadership of mooring crews, safety audits, and incident response participation.

Based at Port Dickson Refinery, Negeri Sembilan, the candidate should hold a Master’s Certificate (Home Trade) or equivalent pilotage experience, with English proficiency and SBM/Pilotage qualifications.

Qualifications

• Master’s Certificate (Home Trade) or pilot ship experience in major seaport.
• MR vessel experience, SBM pilotage qualified, COP Class 2 / Master Home Trade.
• Proficient in English.
• Willing to be based at Petron Port Dickson Refinery, Negeri Sembilan.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance for jetty, SBM operations, mooring, and pilotage.
• Perform ship/shore safety check and coordinate pre-cargo transfer conferences.
• Paper vetting of nominated tankers per Safety Guidelines, Port Requirements, and SBM limits.
• Supervise mooring crew and manage products across an 11 million barrel capacity with 300+ vessels yearly.
• Provide expert marine advice to Petron Refinery during cargo transfers at jetty/SBM.
• Serve as Marine Facilities Security Officer/AMFSO and deputy Port Facility Security Officer for ISPS matters.
• Provide jetty technician and shift superintendence with marine-related guidance.
• Participate in oil spill response drills, investigations, and reporting.
• Maintain Marine Facility Security Plan and perform internal audits and updates.
• Conduct weekly jetty condition and firefighting system inspections; report monthly jetty safety equipment status.
• Enforce SSHE procedures in the port area and by Petron.
