Pacific Quartz (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd invites applications for a Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee daily production, plan schedules and drive 5S/lean practices at our Kulim Hi-Tech Park plant. This is a day-one leadership role requiring a Diploma/Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing and 3+ years of supervisory manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years in manufacturing with supervisory experience.
• Good knowledge of production planning, quality control, 5S and lean manufacturing.
• Familiar with Malaysian occupational safety and health requirements.
• Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities; able to work under pressure.
• Willing to work shifts when required; overseas training in China for 3 to 6 months.
• Candidates with experience in Penang or Kulim factories encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily manufacturing operations to meet output, quality and delivery targets
• Plan and schedule production, and monitor equipment utilisation and performance
• Ensure product quality and drive 5S and lean manufacturing practices on the production floor
• Prepare shift rosters and manpower plans together with HR
• Control production waste and manufacturing costs
• Respond quickly to production issues and work with the equipment, quality and purchasing teams to resolve them
• Prepare daily and monthly production reports
• Lead, coach and motivate a multicultural team, and work closely with technical experts from our headquarters
• Ensure all safety procedures and regulations are followed in the manufacturing area

About Us

Pacific Quartz (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is the Malaysian subsidiary of Jiangsu Pacific Quartz Co., Ltd., a leading quartz materials manufacturer. We are setting up a new manufacturing plant in Kulim Hi-Tech Park and are looking for Manufacturing Supervisors to build and lead our production team from day one.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise daily manufacturing operations to meet output, quality and delivery targets
