Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a Manufacturing Operator in Ipoh, Malaysia to perform daily processes per documented procedures and stay certified. You will aim to meet daily targets while upholding quality, safety and Lean practices.

The role requires basic glue process knowledge, ability to follow 5S and Lean manufacturing, plus good communication and MS Office skills. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of glue volatilization and glue mixing environment requirements or familiar with either coupling or welding or soldering equipment.
• Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy, duration of learning, etc
• Communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge: Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Operate per documented procedures and remain certified.
• Highlight quality issues to Line Leader or Supervisor.
• Follow ESD and Cleanroom procedures.
• Maintain 5S practices and meet daily targets.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continual improvement.
• Adhere to ISO requirements and company rules.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• To perform operation / process as per document and must be certified.
• Performing daily process or operation as per document.
• To be certified to perform process or operation.
• To highlight any quality issues regarding the product or operation to Line Leader or Supervisor.
• To follow any other related process such as ESD and Cleanroom procedure.
• Does not perform work with substandard tools or machines.
• To achieve daily target given to them.
• Maintain 5S all the time (to perform at the end of the shift).
• Practice Lean Manufacturing. Perform any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.
• Derive Continual Improvement.
• Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution of tasks.
• Compliance with ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc.
