Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist/Operator in Ipoh to perform operations per documentation and receive certification. You will work within cleanroom/ESD protocols, maintain 5S, and contribute to daily targets while highlighting quality issues to supervisory staff.

The role emphasizes lean manufacturing, continual improvement, and strict ISO compliance in a dynamic, global laser and materials company environment.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of glue volatilization and glue mixing environment requirements or familiar with either coupling or welding or soldering equipment.
• Communicate effectively; learn quickly with buddy system if needed.
• Basic computer knowledge: Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform operation / process as per document and must be certified.
• Perform daily process or operation as per document.
• Highlight quality issues to Line Leader or Supervisor.
• Follow ESD and Cleanroom procedures; maintain 5S at shift end.
• Achieve daily targets and participate in lean manufacturing activities.
• Derive continual improvement and comply with ISO requirements.

• To achieve daily target given to them.
• Maintain 5S all the time (to perform at the end of the shift).
• Practice Lean Manufacturing. Perform any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.
• Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution of tasks.
• Compliance with ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of glue volatilization and glue mixing environment requirements or familiar with either coupling or welding or soldering equipment.
• Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy, duration of learning, etc
