Mattel (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Safety Officer to implement and continuously improve our occupational safety and health programs across the manufacturing site.

You will lead HIRARC, risk assessments, audits, training, and incident investigations, ensuring compliance with DOSH regulations and ISO 45001. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

A relevant degree and SHO certification or progress toward it are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field.
• DOSH SHO certification preferred or in progress.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing OSH.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian OSH laws and ISO 45001.
• Experience with HIRARC, audits and risk assessments.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsabilités

• Conduct HIRARC activities to identify hazards and implement controls.
• Review and update risk assessments when processes or equipment change.
• Monitor effectiveness of safety measures via inspections and audits.
• Close corrective actions from audits, inspections and incidents.
• Coordinate EHS campaigns and safety initiatives at the site.
