Job summary

Ray Tech (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru District is seeking a dedicated Purchaser to join our supply chain team. You will source, negotiate, and procure materials and services essential to our manufacturing operations.

This full-time role requires strong vendor management, cost analysis, and the ability to coordinate with internal stakeholders. Excellent communication in English (Mandarin advantageous) and a degree in supply chain or business are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role in manufacturing, transport, or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory control.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills for supplier relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems.
• Ability to analyse data and prepare reports on purchasing metrics and cost analyses.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors for materials, equipment, and services.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders in compliance with company policies.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain relationships for timely deliveries.
• Compare quotations and recommend optimal purchasing decisions.
• Maintain records of purchase transactions, invoices, and inventory documents.
• Track delivery schedules and resolve delays with suppliers.
• Liaise with internal departments to understand requirements and specs.
• Analyse market trends and commodity prices for cost reduction opportunities.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company standards and regulatory requirements.
