Job summary

You will negotiate terms, build strong supplier relationships, and collaborate with planning, operations and engineering to balance cost, quality and inventory while pursuing continuous improvement and best practices across the function.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in procurement/sourcing with supervisory experience
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Familiar with ERP/MRP systems (SAP/Oracle advantageous)
• Ability to lead and coach a purchasing team
• Manufacturing procurement experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead the purchasing function and manage a team of buyers/schedulers
• Source and qualify suppliers for materials, spares and indirect categories
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms and service commitments
• Build supplier relationships and track performance metrics
• Collaborate with planning/ops/engineering to align forecasts
• Ensure on-time delivery while balancing cost, quality and inventory
• Drive cost reduction, continuous improvement and procurement best practices
• Maintain procurement records, contracts and documentation
