Job summary

Plexus Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a Manufacturing Supervisor for shift duties, overseeing production operators in high mix, low volume, and high-changeover environments. You will support capacity planning, resource allocation, and timely production schedules while ensuring 5S standards and workplace safety.

Role requires strong communication, problem solving, and a proactive approach to audits and quality.

Qualifications

• The minimum academic entry requirement is Certificate / Diploma in any field.
• Fresh to 3 year(s) of production experience welcomed to apply.
• Specializing in Manufacturing/Production Operations or equivalent.
• Experience in Assembly, HLA, SMT, PCBA, Backend, and wave soldering production will be an added advantage.
• Possess basic troubleshooting and problem solving skill in overcoming daily issues from all aspects.
• Good 5S knowledge and execution.
• Strong oral, written, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Willing to work shift.

Responsibilities

• Direct production operators to meet high mix low volume demands and changeover rate.
• Support capacity planning as customer production demands fluctuates.
• Identify resource needs and ensure production schedule is met.
• Evaluate and allocate personnel, including overtime in line with production needs.
• Develop and implement actions to meet production schedules, goals and objectives.
• Communicate production, quality, or personnel issues to appropriate team members.
• Generate reports with true facts and data.
• Meet 100% compliance in external and internal audits.
• Willing to take on additional duties as assigned by Management.

Job description

Manufacturing (Production Supervisor) - Shift

Responsible for directing the activities of production operators in high mix low volume/high change over rate, strict process control and performance indicator driven manufacturing environment.

Responsible to support the key business metrics, general housekeeping, and workplace safety.

Responsible for understanding and providing input to capacity planning as customer's production demands fluctuates.

Identify resource needs, as well as ensure that the production schedule is met

Evaluate, monitor, and react to personnel allocation in the Factory including the use of overtime in conjunction with production needs.

Develop and implement action items to meet production schedules, goals and objectives.

Communicates pertinent information regarding production, quality, or personnel issues to appropriate team members

Generate genuine reports with true facts and data.

Ability to meet 100% compliancy in all external and internal audits.

Additional duties as assigned by the Management
