Job summary

Plexus Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to perform technical reviews of parts for manufacturability, considering supplier technology, tolerances, materials and cosmetic specs.

You will collaborate with Material Costing and Commodity Management to guide supplier selection, identify technology gaps, and provide engineering support to meet customer timelines.

Qualifications

• Must have a Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical review of parts to ensure manufacturability.
• Collaborate with Material Costing and Commodity Management on supplier selection guidance.
• Identify technology gaps within current supplier portfolio based on RFQ insight or strategic direction.
• Provide technical expertise to ensure products meet customer timelines.
