Job summary

RAKAN in Malaysia is looking for a capable Production Operations professional to plan, monitor and optimize weekly and monthly production targets with a focus on quality and cost efficiency. You will coordinate manpower, materials, machinery and facilities to support smooth plant operations.

We seek a candidate with a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science/Technology or related fields and at least 5 years in food manufacturing, with strong knowledge of HALAL, MeSTI, GMP and HACCP, plus

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 6+ years of overall working experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems (HALAL, MeSTI, GMP, HACCP).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor production schedules to meet targets in a cost-effective manner.
• Coordinate and optimize manpower, materials, machinery, and facilities for smooth plant operations.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring new production lines and processes.
• Ensure OSH compliance per DOSH/JKKP requirements.
• Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with QA and Warehouse for seamless operations.
• Prepare, review, and analyse production reports (output, efficiency, downtime, quality/complaints).
• Perform other duties and ad hoc assignments as needed.

In this role, you will:

• Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring production schedules to ensure weekly and monthly production targets for quantity, quality and productivity are achieved in a cost-effective manner.
• Coordinate and optimize the efficient utilization of manpower, materials, machinery, and production facilities to support smooth plant operations.
• Assist in the implementation, commissioning, and monitoring of new production lines, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) regulations by promoting safe work practices in accordance with DOSH/JKKP requirements.
• Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime and maintain optimal production efficiency.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance and Warehouse department to ensure seamless operations.
• Prepare, review, and analyze production reports, including output, efficiency, downtime and quality/complaint.
• Perform other duties, special projects, and ad hoc assignments as assigned by management.

You might thrive in this role if you have:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Food Science & Technology, Food Engineering, Food & Beverage, or a related field.
• Minimum5 years' relevant working experience in the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems, includingHALAL, MeSTI, GMP, and HACCP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced in using ERP systems.
• Self‑motivated, responsible, and able to work independently with strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Good command of both written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin as this roles will required to liaise with our diverse client base and partners.
• Willing to be based in Semenyih, Selangor.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or higher qualification.
• At least6 years of overall working experience is preferred.

Compensation, Benefits and Perks
