Job summary

Advanced Energy in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking an IT Support Specialist for our manufacturing site. You will troubleshoot issues, manage IT assets, install and configure software and hardware, and collaborate with vendors to keep systems running smoothly.

Responsibilities include incident handling via the ITSM system, AD and network device support, equipment procurement, and knowledge base documentation. Prior ITIL certification is preferred; local candidates only.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor Degree in IT related field.
• IT certifications (MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, CCNA, ITIL, CompTIA, VMware VCP, Nutanix).
• Experience with Active Directory and server administration in production environments.
• Familiarity with Service Desk tools (ServiceNow).
• Networking and IT infrastructure experience in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues from internal customers.
• Log and manage incidents, service requests, and asset lifecycles.
• Install, update, and configure software and hardware.
• Deploy and configure PCs, printers, and network devices.
• Escalate complex problems to appropriate teams and coordinate resolutions.
• Provide L2/L3 support for AE infrastructure.
