Job summary

Berjaya Corporation in Johor Bahru seeks an experienced HR Manager to lead daily HR operations within a manufacturing setting. You will drive manpower planning, recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, and compliance, partnering with Production to ensure an efficient workforce.

The ideal candidate brings 5–8 years in HR for manufacturing, strong leadership, and knowledge of Malaysian labour laws. Fluency in English and Malay is preferred; Mandarin is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
• 5–8 years’ HR experience, preferably in manufacturing/automotive.
• Strong experience in manpower planning, recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, and HR operations.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian labour laws and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily HR operations and support manufacturing departments.
• Lead manpower planning, recruitment, deployment, and onboarding.
• Manage attendance, overtime, shifts, leave, and workforce matters.
• Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace issues.
• Develop HR policies and practices in line with company requirements and Malaysian labour laws.
• Manage performance, confirmation, promotion, transfer, and disciplinary processes.
• Coordinate training and development initiatives.
• Monitor manpower costs, turnover, absenteeism, overtime, and HR KPIs.
• Support employee engagement, retention, and performance initiatives.
• Manage foreign worker/expatriate matters where applicable.
• Ensure accurate employee records and statutory compliance.
• Liaise with government authorities and external parties when required.
• Support organisational development and continuous improvement.
