Berjaya Corporation Berhad is seeking an HR Manager for its manufacturing arm based in Johor Bahru. You will oversee HR operations, lead manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, and ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws while partnering with Production and senior management.

The role involves managing attendance, shifts, grievances, performance processes, and driving training initiatives to support a fast-paced automotive factory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, Management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily HR operations and support manufacturing departments.
• Lead manpower planning, recruitment, deployment, and onboarding.
• Manage attendance, overtime, shifts, leave, and workforce matters.
• Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace issues.
• Develop HR policies and practices in line with Malaysian labour laws.
• Manage performance, confirmation, promotion, transfer, and disciplinary processes.
• Coordinate training and development initiatives.
• Monitor manpower costs, turnover, absenteeism, overtime, and HR KPIs.
• Support employee engagement, retention, and performance initiatives.
• Manage foreign worker/expatriate matters where applicable.
• Ensure accurate employee records and statutory compliance.
• Liaise with government authorities and external parties when required.
• Support organisational development and continuous improvement.
