Job summary

Gateway Search Pte Ltd client is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial planning, cost accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls for a fast-growing lithium-ion battery manufacturing operation in Serendah, Selangor.

The role emphasizes cost analysis, manufacturing cost control, and compliance with MFRS and tax regulations. You will lead a finance team, collaborate with Operations, Production, and Procurement, and drive continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ICAEW or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong experience in manufacturing finance and cost accounting including standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning with prior managerial experience.
• Knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics/NetSuite) and Excel with BI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to management to support growth and profitability.
• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, management reports, and KPI dashboards.
• Develop financial models, forecasts, budgets, and business cases to support strategic initiatives.
• Prepare profitability analysis by product, customer, and business unit, and support pricing decisions through cost and margin analysis.
