PROTON, Malaysia, seeks an On-site Finance Business Partnering and Operational Intelligence professional. You will represent Finance at the plant, provide timely and practical advice while maintaining independent financial judgment, and monitor operational developments that affect cost, productivity, cash flow and overall financial performance.

Represent Finance at the plant by providing timely and practical advice while maintaining independent financial judgement.
Maintain early visibility of operational developments that may affect cost, productivity, cash flow and financial performance.
Act as the primary plant Finance focal point for operational queries.
Identify issue, required documents, accountable process owner and urgency and connect with stakeholders.
Maintain a concise issue tracker showing the financial value or risk, status, escalation and final closure.
Review budget and expenditure requests and other operational requirements.
Work closely with operational teams to understand the business need, urgency, available alternatives and impact of not proceeding.
Assess supporting quotations, budget availability, previous spending, cost effectiveness and expected benefits.
Provide clear and independent financial recommendations in line with the company’s approval policies.
Prepare and validate monthly manufacturing cost reports within the stipulated timeline.
Ensure cost and production information is accurate and supported by reliable data.
Analyse actual performance against budget and forecast.
Provide clear insights, risks, opportunities and recommended action to support management decisions.
Guide operational teams on Finance policies, approval requirements and supporting documentation.
Lead or support the preparation and improvement of Finance procedures and work instructions relating to plant operations.
Identify process gaps and recommend practical improvements to strengthen efficiency, compliance, accountability and financial control.
Bachelor’s Degree or above of accounting
+5 years of progressive cost accounting
experience in Manufacturing or Production environment.
+3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing finance, budgeting, cost control and management reporting.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand operational issues, evaluate financial impact and provide practical recommendations.
Good communication and stakeholdermanagement skills, with a proactive and hands on approach.
