IKD Limited in Malaysia seeks a cost accountant to support day-to-day financial operations within our manufacturing business. You will handle cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
The role collaborates with production, procurement and supply chain teams to monitor KPIs such as gross margin and inventory turnover, requiring strong Excel and ERP skills and fluency in English, Mandarin and Malay.

Responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company's manufacturing business, including cost accounting, budget tracking, financial reporting preparation, and tax compliance processing, ensuring operational accuracy and compliance with local regulatory standards.
Assist in gathering data for the company's financial planning and operational goals.
Keep track of local tax updates and industry trends in Malaysia to support management reviews.
Handle day-to-day cost accounting for production and manufacturing (raw materials, labor, overheads, etc.).
Prepare regular cost variance analysis reports and flag areas for cost-reduction opportunities.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and monitor monthly departmental budget execution.
Compile baseline data and financial numbers to support regular forecasting reports.
Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) in a timely manner.
Extract and calculate key performance metrics required by management, such as gross profit margin, inventory turnover, and capacity utilization.
Monitor daily cash flow movements to ensure sufficient funds for routine production operations.
Prepare submission documents for Malaysian tax compliance (Corporate Tax, SST, customs duties) and assist in handling tax declarations.
Cross departmental collaboration (such as production, procurement, supply chain), providing financial support.
Bachelor's degreeor above, majoring in finance, accounting, finance or related fields.
Priority is given to those who hold professional qualifications such as CPA/ACCA/CIMA/MIA.
Experience: 2 to 4 years of executive-level accounting/finance experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry or with audit firm experience.
Proficient in financial software (such as SQL and Kingdee) and Excel data analysis.
Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, Mandarin, and Malay to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
