Job summary

Inter Island is seeking a finance-focused professional to bridge Operations and Finance, driving margin analysis, forecasting, costing, and performance reviews. You will validate data, interpret operational activities, and propose cost improvements across manufacturing teams.

The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing finance, strong Excel and ERP familiarity, and experience in standard costing and variance analysis. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field; advanced audit experience is a strong plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing finance operations/analysis/costing
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, costing concepts, and operational KPIs.
• Ability to connect operational activities to financial outcomes
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Comfortable working with cross-functional operational teams in a manufacturing environment
• Advanced Excel skills required. ERP experience such as Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Experience in standard costing, variance analysis, and margin analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key liaison between Operations and Finance teams.
• Support Finance in obtaining, validating, and interpreting operational data required for margin analysis, forecasting, costing, and performance reviews.
• Help Operations understand how operational activities and manufacturing behaviour translate into financial performance, cost, and margin impact.
• Perform root cause analysis and provide recommendations for cost improvement and operational efficiency enhancement.
• Work closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Program teams to validate costing assumptions and operational performance.
• Support monthly forecast, annual budget, and management review processes.
• Participate in operational review meetings and present financial insights to management.
• Drive improvements in operational reporting accuracy, data transparency, and performance tracking.
